Default platform image and music in desktop mode

I've seen a couple threads with no definitive answers/solutions. I think it would be cool to have separate platform images and music playing without the need of highlighting a ROM in Launchbox - desktop mode. After selecting a platform, prior to selecting a game, the default background shows with no audio possible until a game is highlighted.

Is it possible to set the platform image to show prior to selecting a game? Is it possible to point to a directory of music files and have them randomly play prior to highlighting a specific game?
