It is necessary that every alternate name in the database has his region assigned!

I've noticed that all the games (generally Japanese versions) in the database with an alternative names but without its corresponding region , have issues with auto download Metadata & Media and especially with the merge function as well.

For example In my Snes roms I've one called "Takahashi Meijin no Daibōken Jima II" that is the japanese version of "Super Adventure Island 2" but the Japanese version was not auto included/merged into "Super Adventure Island 2" apps, for a simply reason, the alternative name does not have the region, It does not been specified in the database. as in the image:

I had almost 400 games without artwork and not merged in my Snes and N64 collections, I did not know why if i have an No-Intro roomset?, so I took in the database, and discovered that this is the issue, So I corrected all of them in the databases.

For this reason, I consider that if somebody wants to add an alternative name, it must be mandatory to add his corresponding region, in order to have a better base compatibility and no problems with the auto merging and artwork downloads, the database should says:

"Please specify a region for the alternate name before to submit the changes" or "You can't add and alternative name without introduce its region, please add one in order to submit the changes"**

On the other hand It is not posible Just add the region and submit the changes the , the page says: * "An unexpected error occurred while loading the page. The LaunchBox team has been notified about the error and will be fixing it shortly"*

It is necessary delete this alternative name entry and create a new one with its corresponding region, that's another issue that difficult us the work.

I don't use the database plugin, I don't know how it works, but it should an error of the plugin as well, I like to work in the databases, the idea is to have the best one on the web!!
