Combined ROMs don't show properly in the lists

Issue #3937 new
Emilio Arias Abrego created an issue

I have an issue with combined games in my collection because most of the time I don't know what I am choosing because Launchbox doesn't display the complete titles of all the variants. Long titled multi discs games, or for example Super Metroid, which I have many versions that includes hacks, etc. So when I want to play a specific one or just to see what I got I get a list like this:

play version ... play version ... play version Super Metroid Redesign play version Super Metroid...

Can it be fixed?

Also I want to suggest that games in the library that have combined ROMs could show an indicator so anyone that browses the library notices X game have more than one variant, be a hack, region variant, multi disc. You name it.

Thank you very much for your all your effort. I really enjoy using LB and BB!

I think it would also be pretty important to have a visual indicator showing you which games have alternate versions. There should be an icon overlay like the shortcut arrow on Windows to show you the difference between a shortcut and an application. Right now, with thousands of games, you can't possibly remember which games have an alternate version and which don't

Yeah I totally agree. I put it in my request. I for one, use a lot of combined games because not every hack, multi disc, etc. have it's own artwork and looks bad with no art and if I use the parent game art, why have it separeted in first place. Also many projects have different names and ended up scattered up with the other games in the platform. @FlightRisk, please consider voting for this report so it gains relevance or something I don't know...
