Lag on big box and other feedback from last beta.

I'm on the last beta that updated tonight. What i saw so far, didn't have too much time to test yet, I'm going to sleep now and test tomorrow:

Good things: 2) I love that you can scale the videos bigger than in Bigbox and they always look fine.

Bad things: 1) Videos are still looking all screwed up on big box, all colors messed up and sound has some noice on it the same thing is happening on launchbox now, but it seems to be a little better for some reason. 2) I'm reaching the 10.000 games right now (8333 to be exact, I'm adding my nes collection tonight...so it will surely reach the 9xxx games), Launchbox is getting very slow and lags a lot. 3) Big box has severe lags when changing from platform to platform, specially when one platform has a clear logo and the next one has a banner, or even worst, when the platform has none of those two, the front end stops responding for 2 seconds, then loads everything fine. 3) Big box crashes when i browse some games, very random, it happens only from time to time, i'm not sure why, sorry I need to sleep now, no time to test it tonight. (big box didn't receive a new beta isn't it? i'm not sure why it started crashing so randomly...maybe too many games? The computer has 4gb ram, so it should be more than enough...

The first 2 bugs are already reported, so i think the only new bug here is the lag changing from one platform with banner to another with clear logo, and when you change from one platform with no art to another with art. (bigger lag)

The random crashes...i'll try to figure them out and report them separately.

I agree that the more games,artwork and etc. that I add, the more lag it has and I have a beefy pc.

I never tried this on my high end machine, i'm doing all this on my arcade computer a core 2 duo with 4gb ram and 2 3 tb harddrives. Windows 7 64bits

Windows goes really fast, taking notice that this is a computer that makes just 1 thing, emulate games, so there is nothing installed on that windows, just necesary drivers, things like directx, etc. Windows is not using aero or anything. It's just a computer full of roms and emus.

The lag is already in another issue, it seems to be a problem with the database that is all in 1 file, jason agreed to separate it or use sql, but there are other lag issues like the one i was telling about some artwork making bigbox slower when the type of artwork changes or there is none available.
