Native support for ServoStick 4way/8way switching

More specifically for using MAME at first to switch 4way/8way as a rom loads. I assume this could be read from a 4way/8way .XML file that lists all the games and could be updated as new versions become available? It would really be nice to have the feature useful as alot of us have spent the money for lifetime license as well as purchasing these servostiks. Thank you
