NEXT layout is much worse

In Launchbox.NEXT game boxart is aligned by the top of the image, which looks ugly and creates unnecessary empty space leading to the title of the game. As a result of this change, titles are misaligned all over the place, rather than always on the same level. This looks awful.

A border is forced around the images, wasting space. It looks ugly.

Spacing options don't always work, particularly vertical spacing seems to only apply sometimes.

For some reason, someone decided to force the name of the developer/publisher under the titles and this cannot be turned off.

Once Launchbox.NEXT is forced on all users, will the original layout options be available? We were promised all the features of the original Launchbox and that should include the original layout.

Next is clearly still in Beta, you even get a warning message saying so when you launch it from Launchbox, just be patient. Everything will be working when it exits Beta, this is exactly what Betas are, unfinished software.
