Merging/consolidating games does not work 100% for some reason; sometimes it recognizes the regions, but does not merge

I recently noticed that Launchbox is not always correctly merging/consolidating games. Take a look at this for example:

You can see that there are three separate listings for LEGO Batman 3. If you take a closer look at the roms, the first one has merged

• Europe
• France
• Spain
• USA

The second one has merged

• France
• Japan

The third one has merged

• France
• Germany
• Italy

You can see that it should actually merge them all together into a single game instead of three separate listings. All alternate titles are correctly added in the LaunchboxDB (it recognizes all roms), for some reason it does not put them all together. Plus, for whatever reason the French rom now appears three times (there's only a single French rom).

Note that I loaded up a 3DS fullset, let Launchbox download all data and then also pressed the consolidate button. I did not modify anything or did anything manually.

Also, in the screenshot you can see the same situation with LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. Again, there's is a similar setup as above. Not exactly the same combination of countries as Batman, but what I find odd is that there also the French release has been duplicated three times across all three listings.

Not in the screenshot, but also happening: LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens has even 4 listings. In that case however, not the French rom has been duplicated, but the German rom has been duplicated across all 4.

I've seen more of these cases too (e.g. Professor Layton games). In short: Launchbox doesn't merge some games correctly and I'm not sure why, as most games are merged correctly... I'm also not sure since when it does this, but it could very well have been since recently.
