Bugs found in LaunchBox v5.8

Issue #447 new
Former user created an issue

I use LaunchBox v5.8 beta under Win7 (x64), bugs happen everytime.

Hi there @ LaunchBox, i found 2 bugs in LaunchBox v5.8 beta.

One bug is that LaunchBox seems to be unable to distinct between games with Part I+II. That is the case with Atari 2600->Miner 2049er/Miner 2049er II and Vectrex->Minestorm/Minestorm II. From both games only the second part (II) is shown TWO times side by side. LaunchBox should distinct between the two and show BOTH games with their respective Artworks etc.

The other bug is found in "Tools->Manage Emulators->Edit->Associated Platforms". If i ADD a new platform to the last line (wich is usually empty) and edit the "default command-line parameters" AND get to the left of the inputbox, the Emulator-Name from the system shown above slips into that command-line! (eg. Wonderswan Vectrex -L "cores\vecx_libretro.dll" instead of let's say "Vectrex -L "cores\vecx_libretro.dll"

Hope you could follow my bug report.

Good job with showing videos in 2D-Mode. Enhances the overall experience!

One last hint: Since v5.8 beta in "Options->General->Game Detail" one can now check the different "Show" entries for the "Game Details". It's a bit confusing on the entry "Dates". I would call it "Add/Modified Dates" to nail it down a bit more. ;)

Thanks for reading, waiting for 5.9 :) G. Buch

I've had this happen multiple times also even when the original game is in the DB it still gets the metadata wrong I don't believe that it is new to this version either.
