Big Box encounters occasional random partial freezes

Sometimes when exiting a game, Big Box will get stuck on a game's page and not respond to either "confirm" or "cancel" button presses. On SNES gamepad, this corresponds to A and B not working, X causing box art to pop up, and Y not doing anything. The D pad works correctly and different options highlight. Video continues to play.
Alt-F4 fails to work, but I'm able to kill BB in Task Manager.
There is no crash or error dialog.

Just happened again after exiting FF-II the SNES game. Trying keyboard buttons and only the arrow keys get a response. I can alt-tab in and out of it, video snap playback is working, but I can't alt-F4 out. I'll leave BB up for a bit in case someone wants me to do any investigating; I'll keep the pc out of sleep mode.

From memory, I've seen this happen on occasion less than 10 times, more than 5.
