Windows October Update breaks Rom Import Wizard

I just installed the latest Windows 10 update. Now when opening the file selection dialog for the rom import wizard, every further click on any button, file, or folder produces a variation of the following error:

Error with Visual Styles, because they are deactivated within the client area.
