Feature Request - Launch a third party program *with variables* before the emulator loads.

Issue #4799 new
Tom Dudman created an issue

I am closing my previous request and replacing it with this one as I think this may be more relevant to a larger number of people.

Firstly, I am aware it's already possible to launch a separate program before the emulator. What is not possible though is to pass it variables, at least that I know of. Also, currently it is on a per-game rather than per-system or global level. I also know this is already (kind of) possible by using the LEDBlinky function, but that has drawbacks.

I would like the ability to launch a third party program before the emulator loads (during the startup screen), be able to pass it variables (specifically system and game/rom names), and do this on a global level.

This, along with the ability to run a script when LaunchBox/BigBox regains focus would be extremely helpful. It would be the last thing I need to remove RocketLauncher from my dedicated console-style SFF PC.
