Reducing Big Box's load time
I use Big Box inside of an Arcade cabinet, and I boot from Windows. I have taken small steps to improve load times on my end, like preventing certain software in Task Manager from launching when the computer starts - like Java Updater. I have also taken a huge step by launching Windows off of a Samsung 970 EvoPlus SSD. I even cut down the window of time available to launch the BIOS - down to one second.
I'd be appreciative if you could decrease the load time of Big Box. I am a former web developer for what it's worth, and we would optimized load times as well.

reporter OK, acknowledged.
I was really pleased when I discovered I could use, say, a Windows executable under the Neo Geo MVS console banner. I've paid for all my games and am curating lists in weird ways.
I have a YouTube video that's decently popular but someone complained that Linux would have been better. I thought he was really hinting at a load time issue. I remember Windows load times got a lot better with the invention of the SSD, but they slowly crept higher after that. A friend recommended an NVME M.2 SSD and the load times got better again.
Keep up the great work.

Startup time is always something that is improved where it can be but library size and more importantly auto generated playlists will increase loading time.
