BigBox - Exception window when searching for non-existent games

That’s it, version 9.1 gives a exception window and we get stuck, need to connect a mouse to the Arcade cabinet and click button to close and then we need to search for some existent title to “recover” the menus etc…
Please fix this asap, it’s giving us troubles to search games.

Yes, it’s the Search function on BigBox. Adding also the corrupted Settings.xml (and other xml) we are getting time to time it’s a huge show stopper.

Your image shows you are on 9.10 and that is what I tested. There is only 1 9.10 version there are not different ones. We are currently on 9.11. As I mentioned I tested 9.10, 9.11 and the latest beta 9.11 beta 1 with no issue. Also had another moderator test and worked fine for him.
Maybe try updating to 9.11 or reinstall 9.10. Have you tried it on a different theme? I have seen themes cause some weird issues.
If the problem persists after updating or reinstalling I would post on the forum. We are more active there.

Well, we use the same Theme since 8.x of course we will not be changing theme. The exception message error is very clear about the null and where it happens, any developer knows how to fix this, when we can get the code managing a NULL key ?

It does look like it is something that affects some users. Jason just advised he has a beta coming out towards the end of that week that may fix this for you. None of the machines I tested on had the issue and the other mod either. So look for the beta later this week and download. Let us know if it fixes it.

Are you talking about using the search function in BigBox and if you enter a game that may not be in your collection this issue occurs? If so, I just tested on 9.10, 9.11 and the latest beta as well and had no issues. BigBox either found a game or reported no games were found. If it reports no game I can use my cabinet controls to back out of that screen.
The developer cannot fix it if he does not know what is actually wrong so we need to torubleshoot. Please use the Launchbox forum or discord we can better troubleshoot.
