Launchbox fails to start after 10.0 update.
Launchbox was working fine, and loaded fine, when I got the “update to 10” notice. Updated. Neither Launchbox or Bigbox will load with no windows or notices popping up at all. There is nothing in the logs folder.
In task manager, Launchbox appears briefly under processes and disappears, and not at all under Applications.
Relatively new user with a lifetime pass, and everything I’d scraped and played around with so far seemed to work fine before this update.
- Windows 7 Pro
- Launchbox 10.0.0.0.0
- Every time
- When launching, through start menu or directly through file explorer
- No error text or logs

reporter Uninstalled Launchbox. Happy to see that all the other folders seemed to be intact. Reinstalled from a fresh download of 10.0, same problem in every respect.

Some troubleshooting has been done. Current recommendation for Win7 users with this issue is to install .NET Framework 4.8 Runtime from official Microsoft site.

I just put out the 10.1 release which installs the .NET Framework 4.8 in the installer. Thanks for reporting this Arlo.

Hello, I have exactly the same problem, no matter how much I install Framework 4.8 without starting the starter box, this problem is exclusive to version 10.6, since I have an installer of the launch box, version 7.6 and it does not give problems until which is updated to 10.6, then stop working properly, please help.

As I know in the images it seems that it will start, but then disappears and does not start, in advance thanks for the help.

Don’t see an update button, so I’d like to add that I rebooted, still had no response, and then reinstalled Launchbox 10.0 without uninstalling as I didn’t want to potentially lose all my scraped data and console info. I’m currently backing up the Launchbox folder just in case and then I’ll try an uninstall, wipe of the folder and clean reinstall of 10.0 and report back.
