Feature Request. Mouse wheel big box support

Mouse Wheel to control Big Box selection wheel.

So thinking about this I dont imagine its impossible but would something like this have performance issues? I know most people use this as a front end for arcade machines or use controllers but I tend to use the mouse and keyboard until I choose a game. Wondering if this would even be doable. and if it could be done as a plug-in.
