Possible import filter issue when selecting MAME as emulator

Issue #5102 new

This is regards to 10.8 beta 3.

There seems to be an issue with how LB handles filtering out import when selecting MAME as an emulator, even if the platform selected each time an import is selected is different.

Issue Example:

I have a folder (with sub-folders) that contains 233 CHD files for the SNK Neo Geo CD system. Previously, I had already imported a full standard MAME set, and some of the systems covered via the Software Lists (though not using the SL ROMs (themselves), NOT including Neo Geo CD, but this did obviously include the standard Neo Geo games for MVS/AES.

Since I want to use MAME to play these ROMSs (CHD support) I originally selected MAME as the emulator do use during the import process. Here is each page (minus the artwork ones) so you can see my exact import settings:

The issue? After continuing with these options LB only shows 2 files to be imported as seen below:

I believe this occurs because LB sees I already have the MVS/AES ROMs that share the same titles imported under my Arcade platform with MAME as the emulator; therefore, the bug being that LB seems to ignore the “Force import duplicates” and “Import all clones (all selected ROMs regardless of duplication)” settings (and possibly the deselection of some of the “Skip” options) specifically when importing a set after having set the emulator as MAME.

I say this because after being stumped for a bit I tried again with the same exact settings (aside from the absence of the MAME specific import page) except that I selected Retroarch as the emulator with the plan that I would just change it after the import; lo and behold this time around the wizard shows all 233 files will be imported:

So I can’t be 100% sure but there seems to be a bug related to ROM imports and certain titles being ignored when they shouldn’t be specifically when MAME is selected as the emulator to use.
