Request: Option to reorganize "Additional Apps"

Issue #5147 new

Hi,

I’ve been using LaunchBox for a while to organize my games collection now. However, one thing I’d really like to see is an option to reorganize the entries in the context menu which opens when you right-click on one of the game entries in the main view:

I sometimes have several versions of the same game (like, floppy version, cd version, different languages, versions that include expansion packs etc.). Now, when I set up a game in LaunchBox, I usually put these several versions into the “Additional Apps” Tab, which works fine as far as launching the different versions is concerned. In addition to that, I use the “Additional Apps” Tab to keep things like save-game-editors, alternative manuals, making-of-videos, guidebooks etc. ready.

As a result, I sometimes end up with ten or twelve entries in the “Additional Apps” Tab, and the context menu ends up being rather long and uncomfortable to use. On the other hand, the context menu also features several (default) entries that I use rarely if at all (such as “open image folder). Long story short, what I’d love to see is the option to form groups within the “Additional Apps” associated with a game (which could be displayed as a horizontal dropdown menu from the context menu, kind of like the “launch with” option already present), and the option to hide some of the default entries that I personally don’t use.

Independently of that, I’d also like to see the option of changing the order of entries in the “Additional Apps” Tab: Whenever I make a new entry, it is automatically displayed last. As far as I can see, the only way to change that is to delete all entries that are meant to be displayed below the new entry and re-enter them afterwards (as they are added at the end of the list when re-entering).

One last thing:

If any of the above should be possible in the premium version, I’d certainly appreciate a hint (and probably would finally buy a license 😉).

If you need any clarification on my request, don’t be afraid to ask. I normally use the german language version of LaunchBox, so maybe some of the menus are named differently.

Kind regards!
