the filename, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect with Windows 10 Pro

Issue #5269 new
Fab M created an issue

Hi,

I use windows 8.1 pro with launchbox and I would like to update to windows 10 but when I use launchbox with windows 10 (on 2  different computers), I have this problem of " the filename, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect" (in French "la syntaxe du nom de fichier de répertoire ou de volume est incorrecte"). (look at the capture)

I would like to solve this bug. A window with notepad and the message opens 4 times at the first launch and even more when I do something else, other actions inside launchbox.

I've tried several solutions without success:

  • to install to another directory --> no effect
  • Copy the folder "Launchbox" to another drive --> no effect
  • rename the folder installation --> no effect
  • All files in Launchbox folder are open with notepad++ when it is possible --> no effect
  • Use windows 8.1 pro --> no problem

It is not the first time I try with windows 10 pro and I always have these problems. Maybe I have done a false manipulation in parameters and it is saved with my microsoft account everytime I want to use windows 10 pro. I thought about default program configuration in control panel but without success. No problem with windows 8.1.

I did a post on the forum but finally I prefer to ask directly with you.

Thanks for the help
