Why can't we have just one copy of DOSBOX?

Until this launcher gets it together enough so that all DOS games are run from a single copy of DOSBOX, it is a kludge.

Really, 15-20 copies of DOSBOX, each one a different version, some of them ancient.

Get your crap together and code this so only one copy of DOSBOX is installed.

…you’ve been mislead somehow. That’s exactly how it works: only one copy of DOSBox. Maybe you’re referring to GOG games?

And maybe you should do more research before throwing shade?

Let me rephrase:

Most old games that require DOSBOX to run in Win10, are only available from Steam or GOG and a few other sources. These installs all seem to have different places where they save the DOSBOX configuration files specific to that game and use different batch files/shortcuts to launch either the games or the game setup executable.

Is there any instructions on how to take the files provided from these sources and install them in Launchbox using just one copy of DOSBOX.

Did I skip over some option when I added games from Steam, GOG and other sources that does what I was asking about?
