Feature Request: Allow OBS recordings into Database for video snaps to be downloaded

Just something I was thinking of with the OBS integration, add a feature for people to maybe upload video snaps of games to the Launchbox database that doesn’t have video snaps. When media is being downloaded for games and the game that normally does not have a video snap, it would download a video snap/recording for the game that was uploaded by someone who recorded it using OBS

Probably not something that would happen any time soon since our Games DB does not host videos. There is a bit of a relationship with EmuMovies for video downloads. Not saying it would not happen, just an FYI on the current state of things.

This is a Jason decision but as Retro stated, I wouldn’t expect to see it offered anytime in the near future. We already have EmuMovies integration, who already has a pretty large collection themselves. Videos also take up quite a bit of space on the server and would increase server costs pretty significantly in a short amount of time.
