Add check box for 'Unplayable' in Edit Game screen

Issue #5447 new
Rod Wilkins created an issue

Besides the ‘Broken’ checkbox label in the edit game window, it would also be helpful to have ‘Unplayable’ as an option. There might be cases where the game is not actually ‘broken’ or ‘corrupted', but not actually playable yet (maybe is starts and loads but can’t be completed for example). I know this might seem redundant to include in the collection, but if you have a large collection and want to include some games that are partially working to tweak/test later as emulators are improved, going back to just those marked ‘Unplayable’ saves a lot of time to configure custom options for certain titles that might need it in a short-hand list. Simply marking them ‘Broken’ it is hard to determine if it’s something I marked because it’s an actually corrupted or broken file that needs replacing or because it’s unplayable and no emulators can properly emulate it.

Just an FYI in case you do not know, you can create a custom field for this. In the edit screens the custom field does not show up on the first details page, but it does have its own tab. Your can create any custom field you want. You can even bulk edit custom field after you added it the first time.

Additionally there is a check box in the game details options when you go to >LaunchBox>Tools>Options and click on the game details section for “custom fields” that will allow your custom field to be show in the game details panel in LB.

An option for you at least until maybe this is added.

Thanks definitely good to know… However, I think this custom field has to be added each time individually on a game-by-game basis though? I guess it can work as a workaround for a small # of games but more involved than just clicking a check box for a larger collection.

Actually never mind I see it appears in the bulk edit dropdown after I assign the attribute to at least one game first. Yes I can totally use this in the meantime… thanks again.
