[Feature Request] A hybrid between the default images view and BigBox.

Issue #5701 new

Hello.

The default images view for LaunchBox is great, but the optional controller support for it is a little iffy (understandable, given that it is built for a mouse and keyboard) when compared to BigBox. It would be nice if you use LaunchBox’s exact grid view (minus the more advanced features that currently make it kinda cumbersome, you could only just browse/launch games) in BigBox (or just have it instantly go fullscreen you enable controller support and have the BigBox license). If you adapt the same grid to fullscreen/improved controller support, you would have access to several features that you don’t have when using a wall view in BigBox.

1: Control over hiding/showing the sidebar/game details (just like you can with the controller right now).

2: Quickly changing current platforms by simply scrolling down the sidebar. No need to transition back and forth between screens.

3: Visual enhancements that exist in the grid view (like the subtle curing around the box art).

4: Built in user customization for box spacing, drop shadows, background blur, and the like.

It doesn’t even need to be fullscreen, just streamlining the controller support it to be more similar to BigBox (call it “simple controller mode” or something) would be more than enough.

Thank you.
