[Feature Request] A "remove all metadata" button analogous to the "remove all media" button

Issue #5751 new

So as you would expect, the safest means to update metadata and media is using the “do not overwrite existing” option.

However if one wants to actually update the metadata due to it being outdated, incorrect, or refined over time - you have to clear out each category by hand. Would be nice to have a button in place to wipe it all so when you do run the “do not overwrite existing” scan, you can easily “completely” update specific titles - if that makes sense.

Is there a reason the following process doesn’t work to accomplish what you are going for?

    1. Select the games whose metadata you want to update
      2. Open the “Download Metadata and Media” tool
      3. Don’t select any media items in LB Games DB selection OR EmuMovies
      4. When you get to the last page select the top option “Replace all”

This option will overwrite any metadata you have with what is found in the GamesDB if it finds it (or is already matched).

I didn’t even consider that. Certainly does seem to be a viable avenue to accomplish said task. Apart from a button giving a more obvious or optional way to do it, it seems like it would add an element of redundancy.
