On a large database, when I click "Add Application" or Edit Application under Additional Apps on an existing game, LaunchBox hangs.

Have tried on multiple games. Have not found any workaround. Occurs on games that both have and do not have existing Additional Apps.

Do you mean in the game edit window? Can you explain more of what happens? Does the whole app crash? How long have you waited for it to work?

Yeah, in the game edit window. The entire app freezes, dims white if I click on it. I’ll go ahead and try it. It’s 6:08 PM now.

Update: at 6:11, I was now able to access it. I clicked cancel, and Add Application again, and it’s frozen again.

6:14, it came back.

So not a permanent freeze, but definitely an unreasonable amount of time and one would expect is a freeze.

An aside, it does the same thing when I click Edit Application. Several minute wait to open up that dialogue box. Makes correcting all the recently added games impossible and this makes LaunchBox close to unusable. I hope a fix can happen soon.

So I’ve just discovered, after removing all the Flash games added by the Flashpoint launcher available on the forum (which amounted to about half my database), this resolved the issue; so the issue is specifically a large database issue.
