suggestion for addition to LB. Friend of yours told me to put the desired feature up here :)

Issue #6001 new

HI there. I as speaking to a friend of yours (who is a admin member- Chaos 1992) he told me to put this suggestion in a forum. Alas i saw this menu item and felt, what the heck, here is ok too 🙂 I have collected lots of systems but my favourite system ever has been the Commodore Amiga. I have every game, and Application for the system, but LB cannot run the Apps. It runs games perfect, but would there be a way for you to allow loading the ‘Workbemch 3/4’, then run a .adf disk as a second image once the OS is loaded? so i can run the apps?

Thanks for taking the time to read this, i hope you have a great day,

regards,

david lyons

I admit I don’t know a ton about the Amiga, but Retroarch does have an Amiga core (PUAE) which loads .adf files. I would think you could use that with LaunchBox to emulate the platform. Have you tried this approach?

Thanks for the rapid reply. Yes LB runs .adf files perfectly. But unfortunately to run Amiga Applications you need to load the Amiga OS which is called Workbench first. Then run the second floppy disc which has the Application on it. But LB only allows you to run one game at a time. It is possible to use FS-Uae app as the emulator to run amiga games and not the LB inbuilt amiga emu codec. As it does allow you to add disks in real time when pressing f12. Alas i was just thinking if LB had this feature in its amiga emu codec, it would be great. As it would be more unified. Thanks once again for your time, david lyons
