Menu functionality changes, quality of life improvements.

Issue #6145 new

There are times I find myself reaching for buttons that don’t exist in the UI. No big deal as I can go the long way around, but, it might be convenient to be able to menu hop or do some different things quicker. Most functionality seems limited to the tools menu that could otherwise exist in multiple locations.

I didn’t think these ideas necessitated individual requests so I rolled them into 1 for discussion:

  • “Launch Emulator” button on each emulator configuration page that just opens that emulator's EXE.
Great if you are configuring and want to edit options inside at the same time. Validates path.
  • More right-click context options for platforms list on left such as “edit default emulator”, “Scan Platform for added/removed roms” “ Audit platform” “Open emulator xyz”, “Open\explore default game folder”
  • Floating context option at top of hamburger icon that changes to last performed action simplifying repetitive tasks
  • “Edit default emulator” button under manage platforms list that opens the edit page for the default platforms respective emulator
  • “Default emulator” field under a platform that also changes the default emulator for that platform.
  • Global edit of import/media settings functionality, such as “prefer emumovies” checkbox default status.

Most of these are not a very big deal because sure, you can get to them from 2 to 5 extra clicks, but, would help reduce total click throughs when configuring and maintaining Launchbox or its respective games.
