Feature Request Distribution system.
Issue #6178
new
- I have 1 main copy of Launchbox with all my games/systems/platforms setup.
- I have 1 system in my Arcade cabinet with basically Mame games and few others
All are networked together, with shared drives.
I would like a feature that allows me to build a playlist or something, on my main system, that would copy/build/update/sync each of other systems. Kind of a smart export/build system.
Example:
if my Arcade has a new instance of Launchbox mapped to drive G, so G:\Launchbox is a clean LB install
I would like a export-ish feature that read the “export-arcade” playlist find the games/platform/artwork/meta data etc in the XML files and build G:\Launchbox files.
- Copy the games from the main computer to g:\Launchbox\Games.
- Copy the required emulator from main computer to g:\Launchbox\emulators.
- Copy the artwork/meta data to the correct locations on g drive.
- setup all the required XML data files needed.
- what ever else is need to go to the arcade system and click on the launch box icon and see the games
Big ask I know, but as a developer myself, I’ve spent some time thinking about it and I’m sure it can be done.
