New tray icon shows no icon for windows games in the context menu
So ive been a bit tied up IRL and just noticed you guys added a tray icon to LB. I intend(ed) to use it, enabled it, and immediately brought up the context menu to ascertain what utility it provided.
I was greeted with a list of what I can only assume were my most recently opened titles. Those which were ran from an emulator showed said emulators associated icon.
The windows games however showed no icon whatsoever.
I figure this is either A) by design or B ) due to using shortcuts to said games to parse/populate launchbox for obvious reasons. If it is the latter, it would be nice if the feature could be implemented to follow the shortcuts to their endpoint (the exe) so they could display the icon in the context menu like everything else.
Or even the ability to edit this manually would be a distant second. (im anal enough to do this for my 70 or so games considering as it sits, Im not using the tray icon due to the aforementioned lol)

reporter S:\Installed\Standard\The Legend of Heroes - Trails in the Sky\ed6_win_DX9.exe
and the shortcut is just the .lnk in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Games\Standard

Is the shortcut or the exe in LaunchBox application path?

reporter its the shortcut, which i assume is why the icon is not showing. This is why i requested the ability for launchbox to follow the shortcut to its endpoint for its icon.
its substantially easier to parse a directory of shortcuts to populate my non steam windows games than the alternative. especially when updating/adding games etc. theres little cohesion when it comes to how exe’s are buried or handled a lot of times.

Yeah. Wanted to confirm it is the shortcut though so I can try and replicate and correct. I’ll see what I can do about getting that improved.

For one of the games you are not seeing an icon for, what is the application path of that game?
