"Scan for Added ROMs" does not work

Issue #6273 new
Amir Amran created an issue

"Scan for Added ROMs" does not work. It will not detect new roms in the rom folder when there are indeed new roms there. Says “not additional roms were found to import”. Please fix.

    Hi Amir,

Can you make sure that the Game path within your platform is correct and let us know if you are still seeing the issue.

Right-click your platform and Edit. Choose the Folders Tab and check the Game Folder Path. If it’s not pointing to your ROM folder, make the change and re-run the Scan for Added ROMs tool.

This tool also only works for emulated systems, systems such as MS-DOS it doesn’t even attempt to scan. Could you let us know what platform you are using the tool on so I can confirm?

When i import a platform i direct LB to a rom folder of that platform outside of LB folder, for example: X:\Roms\No-Intro (2021-05-04) (PD)\Sega - Mega Drive - Genesis

But i notice just now that when i enter platforms>sega genensis>folders>the ”game” folder is directed to: “Games\Sega Mega Drive_Genesis”. This is true for all of my platforms gane folder, they are all directed to internal LB game folder which i don’t use. Why it did not remember the rom folder i directed outside of LB folder if this is required for “Scan for Added ROMs” to work?

Another question, what happens if i have two different rom folders for the same platform? say, “PS2 USA” rom folder and “PS2 Japan” roms folder? Can they both enter the platform’s “game folder” directory?
