Game streaming? (feature request)

It would be cool if we could stream certain games (in a browser ideally), such as 8bit, 16bit retro consoles or mame arcade games. I know Plex recently launched this (very, very botched imo) feature and it seemed cool as a concept, but horrible in execution.
Would be fun to be able to stream games on a phone or tablet or something when not sitting in front of my TV.
I am not a programmer, so I am not implying this is easy or even possible, just a wish list kind of thing.
