Re-Import Steam Library?

Issue #636 invalid
Former user created an issue

Hi Jason,

first of all: THANK YOU! Thank you for this amazing piece of software, i´ve gone premium after 2 mins of usage :-D. Hands down the BEST Frontend I have ever used! It is a blast to use, it´s so convenient. you really did an awesome job here, i can´t praise it enough!

Had to let that out ;)

Ok, now here´s my problem: I imported my steam library, worked like a charm. For some reason I then deleted the Steam entry via the "Manage Platforms" Menu. then I tried to re-add my steam library, but the Import-Wizard won´t do it again. It just says that it won´t import games that are already in my library. Is there a config file somewhere I have to edit or am I just doing something wrong here?

Thanks for your help and KEEP UP THAT AMAZING WORK!

Best wishes from Germany, Manuel

My Config:

Launchbox 5.8 Windows 10

All you need to do is re-add the platform as the same name. Games need to deleted, not the platform. The platform doesn't remove games. We're going to have a dialogue in the future convey this and ask if the user also wants LB to remove the games, but this isn't the case yet. Just go in to Manage Platforms and add it back manually.

Don't forget too, we have forums where you'll get better help for stuff like this.

Thanks for the kind words, Manuel. 5.9 will fix the confusion where deleting the platform does not delete the games. The issue you're seeing is that the platform was deleted, but the games are all still there without a platform. If you can find them and delete them, then you should be able to re-import the games.
