Big Box: Prioritize Video audio over Background Music

I’ve recently set up a Raspbarry Pie with Recalbox as a small gift for a friend. After adding videos and some background music, it remembered me that it would be a cool feature to have for BigBox.

When a video of a selected game starts playing the background music gets lowered/muted.
I like that.

Currently it’s only possible to prioritize the soundtrack over video audio.
It would be nice to be able to prioritize video audio over background music.

Problem here could be that in platform view the background music should have priority over video audio, while in platform categories the video audio should have priority.

I agree that this is a feature that I would like to see in Bigbox. I want to have the background music playing when I go to select a platform, especially if I have Bigbox set up to where I don’t have any platform videos playing. However, I do have videos of the various games for each platform playing, and when I am viewing those in Bigbox, I would like the video audio for each game video to take priority over the background music. In that case, have the background music only play when selecting a platform, but as soon as I view a game that plays a video snap for that game, the background music gets slowly faded out in favor of the video snap audio for said game. That is the feature I would like to see implemented in Bigbox.
