12.2 RetroArch update fail
Issue #6455
resolved
Updated to 12.2. Tried to update RetroArch from Launchbox. Error - Can’t extract archive (after downloading). Tried to reinstall Retroarch (via Launchbox). Error - Can’t extract Archive.
Tried to run RetroArch - Error, DLL version mismatch.
So the update process successfully updated some files (as can be seen by date stamps on the file), but not all, making the RetroArch install corrupt. I’ll have to delete the whole thing (Retroarch) manually and reinstall. No big deal to me.
I recommend this feature be disabled, as it appears to be causing harm to existing installations.

reporter Updating to 12.3 Beta 1 and re-running the RetroArch update from Launchbox seems to have repaired the install.

I haven’t been able to confirm, but it looks like it might have mixed up files from 32bit and 64bit versions?
