I wish the new LaunchBox update included an automatic way for the program to detect and set correct settings for game controllers. So far i have tried the 8bitdo arcaede joystick and the EasySMX Controller and still I can not get it to work correctly. It needs to be plug and play.. don’t you agree? LOL

Are you talking about setting the controls for in game play?

If so, this is something LB and BB have never done and currently there are not any plans to do so. Not saying it will never happen. It is just not currently on the priority list since each emulator can be set directly and there are so many different emulators available in a Windows environment it could be daunting to maintain functionality.

I use the 8bitdo controllers as well as the 8bitdo arcade controller and have no issues mapping it inside LB or BB for moving around in LB/BB as well as mapping in each emulator to be able to play games.

What specifically are you having issues with?

Would you be able to help me set/map my 8bitdo arcade controller?   Also I have a the Microsoft controller for Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.  (can bwe used wired or wireless).I'm unsure if I am to set/map on LaunchBox or RetroArch? Jerry (licensed LB user)
