Option to default to first sidebar entry instead of All for performance reasons

Can we get a way to eliminate "All" as an option on the left side? Whenever I change filter it defaults to "All" which can then take some time to load. If it would just default to the top system in the list aside from "All" it would work better.

This already exists, Tools -> Options -> Side Bar on the left. Uncheck the All box.

Tried that. Even without the term "all" there, it still defaults to its equivalent when switching filters--taking a while when switching. Is there a way to just have it default to the last item selected instead?
