Launchbox Premium not working

Issue #687 invalid
Former user created an issue

I have windows 10. I placed the License.xml in the Launchbox folder, yet it doesn't recognize me as a premium user unless I delete Launchbox.xml and then place in the License.xml. If I close Launchbox (for whatever reason) it says I am a regular user again. I've send a message about this before and got no response.

My email is: Sleepy_head_im_asleep@yahoo.com

I've deleted the attachment so that other people can't steal that information.

As far as the License goes, what version of LaunchBox are you on? You put the xml file in your LaunchBox install directory and booted up and your name isn't at the top of the LB Window?

Also, where did you send that message? Jason or myself would have responded quickly.

Thank you very much. I thought it was a form to report a problem..... not post it on a forum. I was in the process of reporting the problem hence me signing up now.

It's been happening the past couple versions. I just upgraded to 5.9 and I still do not have the premium access.

I cannot find where I sent that message to. It was over five months ago unfortunately, and I thought I did so through the website, but after reporting a problem here I must have been mistaken

This is the place to report bugs, don't worry.

I'll forward this to Jason and see if he can't figure out what's up.

Hi Skullmster, you'll need to keep both the LaunchBox.xml and License.xml files in the LaunchBox folder next to LaunchBox.exe. By default, LaunchBox installs into this folder:

    C:\Users[username]\LaunchBox

So make sure you're copying it into the right folder and keeping both LaunchBox.xml and License.xml in the folder. Thanks!

By the way, sorry to hear that you've had this issue for a while. Licensing issues are always my top priority so I'm not sure how it might have gotten missed.

Oh, also in LaunchBox 5.9 there is an option under the Help menu to register your license file. So that may be easier for you if you're having trouble.

I understand what happened thanks to what you said. For some reason there are two Launchbox locations. One that is in my [Username] folder and one in my [Username] Documents folder. All fixed. thank you for your assistance
