Closed Edit Game window as the Search for Metadata button was frozen

Had to use task manager to close Launchbox

Can you run the following:

• Tools > Download > Force Update Games Database Metadata

Then let us know if you are still running into the error.

No crashes using the force update games database metatdata.

In the past I have seen a similar glitch. When right clicking on a game and entering the Edit Metadata window and clicking Search for Metadata and then when Launchbox notifies me that there is a new version of the Metadata I click on download and Launchbox downloads the new file and then the button changes to Searching LocalDB and the button freezes up

More than likely both would mean that your Metadata.xml file has become corrupted and LaunchBox can’t read it. Forcing a refresh of the metadata could solve both, and in this case seems to have solved your current issue.
