System manual feature request

In big box when pressing enter, in the submenu an option is shown to view the manual of the game if it is available.

My request is to add an extra option to view the system manual.

The game manual for a snes game is stored in launchbox/manuals/snes/gamename.jpg (or pdf).

It would be great if a file called snes.jpg or snes.pdf is available in that directory, an extra link is shown to view the system manual.

While not exactly what you are thinking, this can be done by adding additional apps to a game in LaunchBox.

Edit a game, go into the Additional Apps section. Call it something like System Manual, and point to your file.

This will show up in Big Box and in pause menus.

You, Paul, have mentioned it in the comment. It is not the idea of the bucket, so this is not a duplicate

This would be an excellent feature - but please don’t limit it to BigBox, this should be possible in Launchbox too. Having Launchbox show platform details when so game is selected is currently in the community poll, so hopefully that will make it in and then there would be a forum for adding in the platform manual.
