Way to massively improve the mame database. For Mame, have the database organized by file name instead of game name.

While I am still in favor of having roms searched for by hash value instead of name for most systems. When it comes to mame, the games are required to have a specific name per game. So, when it comes to searching for it, actually having it searched by file name instead of game name (Like it currently is) would be virtually 100% effective at it with no real false results unless the user’s set wouldn’t run in Mame anyways.

Would prevent issues like with the game Commando where you have 2 different games named it so you will have to manually search for the result of it. And heaven help you if you want to make sure the media matches when it comes to that stuff.

Mame is one system where it is better to use the emumovies app and search by file name alone than get the database because of that. The metadata might not be accurate but the media would be.
