Old Default Theme with new Game Details layout

I personally really like the old default theme, as it allows extensive colour customization, but i’d like the new game details layout to be in some way extended to the old default theme, as it’s a marked improvement,.

We have no plans to alter Old Default, but you could create your own theme that uses files from both to achieve what you’re hoping for. When you say Game Details do you mean the section in a Games View that displays the game’s information, or do you mean the Detail view of when you select a game and see options like Play, Additional Apps, View Images, View Manual, etc?
