Custom Tag System

An option where I could insert a custom tag to a game so it could be filtered more accurately. It could be part of the context menu, so I would select 10 random games on my library with ctrl + click, then I would right click one of them, navigate to add custom tag, a window with a search bar and a field with existing tags would pop up for me to select one or input a new one to be applied to the selected games. A game could receive multiple tags.

The main window’s search bar should start to consider tag as well, and it should also accept multiple tags as well.

That would be useful to more accurately find games in my library, say I wanna play a baseball game, I just type baseball on the search bar and even games not named baseball but tagged with baseball would come up. I could also be searching for a more specific game and use “platform marvel” in my search, that would bring me some x-men games tagged with marvel and platform for instance

With time, data collected from users that accept to contribute with the database could be used to auto tag games.

We already have custom field support and they can already be bulk edited. You do have to save the new field to a single game first, after that the field will appear in bulk edit so that you can add it to others.

This feature does require a premium license.
