Steam games import filters

Hi, I was thinking that when importing Steam games into launchbox, it would be really useful if you could filter it to only display games that include controller support. Like many others, I use Big Box to play games from my couch/bed, and I have a lot of Steam games in which I’m not sure whether a lot of them have controller support or not. When I was selecting which games to include when importing Steam games, I had to look up the Steam store page for each individual game I was considering in order to check whether the page displayed “Full controller support” before deciding to import it. As I see no reason to import games without controller-support to play on Big Box from the bed where most only have a controller available, it would be very useful if the menu for selecting which Steam Games to import would let you filter games by “Full controller support”, “Partial controller support” or has no controller support.

In fact, other filters could probably be useful for people too, like sorting games by whether they offer local/online coop, as that is also information that gets displayed on a game’s Steam store page. Personally speaking however, filtering games through controller support should be prioritized over other possible filters. Of course, this suggestion would only be viable if Steam API lets Launchbox retrieve store page information on the user’s games, so it could prove difficult if not impossible to do if the API wouldn’t be able to retrieve such information.

You can’t filter this way BEFORE importing but you most certainly can after the fact using auto-populated playlists. I’ll leave the request open though since you’re requesting a change be made to the import process to be able to filter before in the library at all.
