Cloud support

Issue #7557 new

When do you going to implement cloud support so one can use onedrive or Google drive to store roms. And play them in launchbox.? The storeges limit are low in today's phones. It would be a great enchantment…..

The latency on a wireless connection would be pretty rough. Especially since most emulators do not load your entire rom/iso into ram. This may even cause some emulators to crash when attempting to read the files(Trust me).

I use a local server with a 10Gb wired connection to store my roms/isos and it still has more latency than I would like.

As long as the service resolves to a file path that can be read by Windows then you already can. GDrive and OneDrive both do this already. You would just point the app to the file paths it creates and it would work out the box. The app (much like the OS) doesn’t even realize they are networked files. That being said there won’t be too many processes that AREN’T slowed down pretty dramatically by doing so depending on how your service caches local files.
