"Check" (select) Images to use for game art

Issue #7561 new
Chad Pieper created an issue

In Edit Game > Media > Images, it would be nice if there was a tick box or check box next each image.

Checking an image would allow you to designate that image as one for LB to use for that piece of art without deleting any images or having to move an image to another folder.

For example: I have 3 Box - Front covers, and I want to use 2 of them to cycle between. The 3rd image I do not want to use, but I also do not want to delete it with ‘Remove Image’, nor move it to say Box - Front - Reconstructed, as it may not actually be reconstructed art, and there is no Box -Front folder under Unassigned Images to move it to.

So I check the 2 images that I want to use for Box - Front, and LB gives me some small visual feedback that that image is selected (ie. small green check mark). While the image that is not selected still remains in the Box - Front images folder as an option if I choose to use it later, and visible in the Edit Game > Media > Images> ‘image viewer’.

Perhaps there could be a ‘Hide Image’ button next to ‘Remove Image’, if you didn’t want to see the image as an option in the viewer but also did not want to delete it.

This way you can keep all of the art, and keep it organized in it’s accurately named folders. Easily being able to view what is available to be used, but without having to delete, reassign, or unassign art to keep it from being used.

This could also make it so that when you want to pull any new art that is available in the LB/EmuMovies databases, it doesn’t reset the pic you’ve chosen for box front for example.

I’ve had that happen on many occasions, where I delete a specific box front because I don’t like it, and then later when images get updated, that box front is back and selected as the default again.
