Manually set game hashes/ids for games with RetroAchievements support

Issue #7632 new
Holy Lightning created an issue

I am having a wonderful time with the new achievements integration scanning within LaunchBox (ty for this feature btw) but certain games inside of LB don’t register as having cheevos at all and these titles are mainly games with the playable file being the .m3u playlist for multi-disc games or are compressed .cso files meaning the hash can’t be read off of the files correcetly or properly. (Mainly for PS2 isos).

Manually editing the platform xml and changing the “Retroachievementshash” and “ID” fields seems to have actually solved my issue though. Would it be possible to allow users inside of LB to manually add the hash and id for those of us that have modified rom files like .m3u playlist files and .csos? Or is the coding within LB/interactions with RA not going to allow that? Please reply when you can and thank you for your time both contributed to LB and to reading this post.

I’d have to think of the best way to handle that and allowing users to manually edit them. Is a possibility to add in the future. Right now you could do so by manually entering the data into your platforms XML file (with LaunchBox closed) but I admit that’s not as nice as a dedicated place in the Add/Edit window
