Suggestion: The ability to lock the "Title" & "Sort Title" fields in metadata.

Issue #7802 open

Thinking of this for if you want to do a full update of all your data including your current fields but want to keep the naming and sorting scheme the same. So when you have to rename a specific title it doesn’t get reverted.

Personally this would be useful when you merge multi-disc games into a single entry and add a “Multi-Disc” label to the end of the game to indicate it when you are browsing so it didn’t get removed.

Sort Title I believe should always be left alone as we don’t populate that field from the Games Database.

Also as a side note if you’re using premium you can enable to “Multi-Disc” badge to make seeing those games easier as well.

Have a lifetime membership. Did not know that. But setting up something for the kids to be able to use some and wanting to be able to update it and make sure it is as user friendly as possible. And would love it where all the metadata and media can be updated but the name be locked into place in case we make changes to it.

Also hoping for an option to force the scraper to prioritize a specific region even if it detects a different one from the file. Sucks having a rom labeled “World” when you are trying to prioritize North America for the media download and having to go into roms manually as you discover them to change it.

How do I get badges to show up in BigBox? I can get them in launchbox but can’t find the option for BigBox.
