10:52:25 AM Exception

I mainly get this error when importing steam games. The games will impot and download metadata, but will throw this error out when importing media. Its the only thing that’s preventing me from having all of my storefront games in one application.

So I got the error again after another import, but I decided to switch themes and I imported my Steam games with media in the new theme. I didn’t get the error in the new theme which is odd, but I like this new theme better than the normal one. I’m not having the issue anymore, but someone else might have this

Just to say that I’ve also been having this error repeatedly this morning. I have previously imported Steam games to Launchbox, and today I’ve been updating them with Steam trailers. Most of the time I’ve had to kill Launchbox to restart it, but this last time I could actually see the error properly. The last time I killed Launchbox it showed 31 processes running. It doesn’t happen all the time.

Also getting this issue with the latest version. Seemed to start happening after I created a custom platform. Also, I tried to delete the new custom platform AND IT DELETED THE WRONG PLATFORM. The deleted platform was ‘Windows’. The custom platform is ‘Windows - Blizzard’. Now I just have the Blizzard one left and my entire catalog of window games is gone. 😡 😖

Restored from backups. Tried rolling back to previous version but older installs wouldn’t overwrite the current one. Re-installed current version and still same problem. Switched from the newer default theme to another one, and things came good.

My suspicion is the image for the newer ‘default’ theme when a game has no cover, doesn’t work. In other themes, the card/cover image just shows the Launchbox logo and works fine. In the broken theme, it shows blank and then interacting with metadata will cause the negative height/width thing.

Just as a quick update, I opted into 13.9 beta 1 and for some reason, am no longer getting this error. I updated the metadata for a lot of my steam games both automatically and manually and never got the error. I hope this is helpful for anyone who is experiencing this.

@Eric Mesiano That’s fixed it !!! Many thanks, I was going through and manually updating metadata for multiple roms and after around every 10 or so it kept showing this error. Since upgrading to 13.9 beta 1 I haven’t seen this issue
