Games Menu

I prefer not to have anything listed in the games menu so i've left everything 'unchecked'. However, when choosing a game by pressing 'enter' or 'A' the game will be chosen and the side will show up blank. Can this is some what fixed in the way the when you select the game it goes straight into the game? i have my 'start' button on my controller should i wish to play the game so there is no need for me to have a games menu with anything listed and its uncessary for me to click into a game and have it show up with an 'empty' selection on the side if you get what i mean.
