Error Loading Launchbox (Windows 8.1)

Hello I purchased a forever license some years ago and have not used the software in years but now wanting to return to using it so I downloaded the current version and installed it but it gives an error when I try to load it and can not load. I am using windows 8.1. I am not sure if 8.1 is supported or not but it is crashing.. I mean shouldn’t it check to see if I am on windows 8.1 and then give an error message if it is not compatible instead of crashing completely? If it is not a bug then it is overlooked. There should at least be a warning message if the OS is too old. Or is this a bug and 8.1 should be working?
