Video for game in a black box in the Info bar as per image

Clicking the image starts the video using VLC, but appear to have to launch full-screen to get to shop using WMP video.

Hey Martin, this is actually by design. Turn on Auto-Play, View -> Auto Play Video. Or press Ctrl + Alt + V to enable it.
